GlobeNow.tv

Is Pluto TV completely free?

Yes. Pluto TV is free to watch: it is paid for by ads, it never asks for a credit card, and there is no paid or ad-free plan. You do not need an account to watch live channels. The catch is the ads and the fact that it only works in some countries.

I'm the developer of GlobeNow.tv, a different free service mentioned at the end. Pluto TV facts below come from Pluto TV's own help centre and welcome page and from Paramount's May 2026 shareholder letter, checked on 23 Oct 2026. Pluto TV is not affiliated with GlobeNow.tv.

What "free" means on Pluto TV

Pluto TV makes money from advertising, the same way broadcast TV does. Live channels run their own commercial breaks, and on-demand movies and episodes stop for ads too. There is nothing to cancel and no trial that turns into a bill.

Paramount owns Pluto TV. In May 2026 it said Pluto TV would move onto the Paramount+ platform, with more on-demand titles, and would remain free. Paramount+ is a separate paid app; signing in to Pluto TV does not subscribe you to it.

If you want live channels with no account at all

GlobeNow.tv is 100% free with no sign-up. It plays 647 official YouTube live channels from 64 countries, mostly news, placed on a 3D globe. It is a smaller, different thing: no movies and no programme guide, and YouTube may show its own ads in its player.
