Each dot is a news video, placed where the story happened. Red is breaking, orange is developing, blue is analysis.

  2. Tap a dot

The video plays in a panel next to the globe, with the title translated into your language. Swipe or use the arrows for the next story.

  3. Switch modes

What you can watch

100% free, no account needed

GlobeNow.tv costs nothing to use. There is no sign-up, no login, no subscription and no paid tier: open the site in any browser and press play on any of the 647 live TV channels, the webcams or the news videos.

That is possible because GlobeNow.tv does not host or license video. It plays streams that news outlets, TV channels and webcam owners already publish for free on YouTube, through YouTube's standard embedded player. Paid services such as YouTube TV or Fubo sell cable channel packages; free apps such as Pluto TV and Tubi run their own ad-supported catalogues inside their apps. GlobeNow.tv instead puts public live streams from many countries on one map.

YouTube may show its own ads before some videos, and a few channels are blocked by their owners in some countries. Each channel page says where it plays.

Questions and answers

What is GlobeNow.tv?

A free website that shows the latest news videos and live TV from around the world on an interactive 3D globe. Each video is placed where the story happened, so you can see what is going on in a place by tapping it.

Is GlobeNow.tv free? Do I need an account?

Yes, it is free, and you do not need an account or a credit card to watch. GlobeNow.tv shows no ads of its own; YouTube may show ads inside some embedded videos.

Where do the videos come from?

They are official YouTube videos and live streams from news organisations and broadcasters, played through YouTube's own embedded player. GlobeNow.tv does not host or re-upload any video; rights stay with each channel.

How often is it updated?

New videos are checked every few minutes. A news video stays on the globe for 24 hours; city and topic pages keep a short archive.

Can I watch from any country?

GlobeNow.tv works wherever YouTube works, but each broadcaster decides where its live stream can play. In our latest check, 85% of TV channels had no country restrictions. Country pages list which channels play abroad.

How are titles translated?

Titles, summaries and selected viewer comments are machine-translated into English, Chinese, Japanese and Korean, and the original is always one tap away. Translations can contain mistakes.

Does it work on phones?

Yes. It runs in the browser on iPhone, Android, tablets and computers, and can be added to the home screen like an app. There is nothing to install.
